Project MAG Beyond is a way to bring in new technologies to museums and art galleries, who are losing visitors each day. By supporting the physical pieces of the museums with augmented reality overlays, we aim to incorporate newest technologies into old ways of learning. This way, the museums can appeal to a broader group of people from different generations with different interests. In addition to this, the overlaid information can also be used to point out specific details directly on the pieces, without the need to alter the pieces or physical information labels in real life. This will give museums, more specifically art galleries, the option to offer multimodal learning to their visitors.
